Terms and Conditions for MZ.Renting - Bag Hire
1. Rental Period
- The bag rental period consists of 3 days in total; the day before your event, the day of, and the day after. This does not constitute a four-day rental period like our garment hire. An extension may only be given if discussed prior and agreed upon by MZ Renting.
2. Rental Rates
- For longer rental periods exceeding the standard three-day rental, the fee will be double the standard hire fee, per additional hire period (3 days).
3. Security Bond
- A refundable security bond of $100 is required for all bag rentals. The security bond is intended to cover any potential damages to the bag or its dust bag during the rental period.
- The security bond will usually be refunded in full by Tuesday night or the day after the bag is received via postage. This is of course subject to it being returned properly in the postage box + dust bag provided and in original condition (excluding minor marks that can be easily cleaned / removed).
- Please do NOT try clean the bag yourself or use any chemicals, as this can cause irreversible damage which will result in a loss of bond, additional costs or even the replacement of the item. (as stated in our Terms & Conditions)
- Failure to return the item on time, incorrectly, missing any parts (chain, dust bag) or not treating it with proper care will result in further action being taken.
4. Booking and Payment
- To secure a bag rental, customers are welcome to put down a non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure their desired date. This amount will also be taken off the total hire + security bond owing.
- The remaining payment for the bag hire and security bond is due prior to postage, pick up or drop off. Absolutely no access to the item will be available if the full payment is not made.
- We do not take cash payments on bags unless there is someone home to accept it or we are dropping it off to you, in which the full amount (hire + bond) is needed.
- A contract will also need to be filled out + signed by the customer prior to using our Bag Hire services, if not completed your order will be terminated.
5. Bag Condition
- The bag and its dust bag must be returned in the same condition as it was received, free from any damage, stains, or excessive wear and tear. (excluding minor things which will solely be decided by MZ Renting).
- Any damage or loss to the bag or its dust bag will result in an appropriate deduction from the security bond, as determined by MZ.Renting and if needed, additional repair costs or a replacement of the item/s.
6. Pick-up and Return
- Customers are responsible for picking up the bag on the specified date and time, which is the day before the event & returning it on the day after the event.
- Failure to return the bag on time or in a safe spot will result in additional charges. Please return the item at the front door, where you originally picked it up from in the same box & bag provided to assure its safety. (as stated in section 1)
- MZ.Renting is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss caused while the bag is in the possession of the customer.
- The customer agrees to all liability of the item while in their possession. Appropriate additional charges will be made if needed.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- MZ.Renting reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
- Customers will be expected and are responsible to read & agree to any and all changes to these t&c's prior to any bag or garment hire, regardless of being a previous customer.
10. Identification Verification
- To proceed with any bag or garment hire, MZ Renting requires a copy of a valid government-issued identification (ID) from the customer or a legal guardian (if under 18). This ID must match the name and details provided during the booking process.
- The copy of the ID can be submitted electronically through a secure method specified by MZ Renting. Particularly through instagram or the mobile number you've provided when making a booking.
- MZ Renting reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if the customer fails or refuses to provide a valid copy of their ID or a legal guardians.
This identification verification clause is implemented to ensure the security and proper processing of bag and garment hires.
